Black Sheep

from $20.00

I painted this piece after hearing @bendfuller song Black Sheep because, honestly, I’ve felt like one most of my life. Like I never really fit in anywhere. I’d isolate myself, drink, sit in my own sadness, and convince myself that no one cared or understood what I was going through. That mindset only fed my struggles, and the devil kept whispering those lies in my ear for years—and for years, I kept believing them.

Maybe you’ve felt that way too.

But the good news? Jesus loves you. He still welcomes you with open arms. He still comes after you. No matter how lost or out of place you feel, He will never stop pursuing you. He never stopped chasing me down—even after I spent years pushing Him away and chasing what the world had to offer instead.

So wherever you’re at, just know this: You are never too far gone. You are never unseen. You are never unloved. Jesus will always leave the 99 to find you. No matter how many times you run or how much you think you don’t deserve it, God’s grace will still find you. It’s relentless, it’s undeserved, and it changes everything.

Amazing grace is a pesky, pesky thing and Praise God for that.

“If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine and go to look for the one?”

Matthew 18:12
