Matthew 11:28
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
This is the fourth piece in my Whispers of Grace series. It reflects the kind of rest Jesus invites us into—not an escape from life, but a gentler way of walking through it. Even with dark mountains in the distance, His light meets us in the middle.
The flowers and small bunny in the meadow point to the quiet, unexplainable joy that often comes when we lay our burdens down. The golden line weaving through the fog and into the sun represents His grace—steady, present, and always surrounding us.
The mist moving through the meadow is a reminder that His presence doesn’t wait for us to reach it. He surrounds us, meets us where we are, and gently leads us into rest.
Acrylic on raw canvas. 16×16”
Currently on display at Jester Park Nature Center through the end of April. Will be available May 1st.
