You Can Move a Mountain

$25.00

“You can move a mountain. You can calm a storm. I know You can — I’ve seen it before.”

Desperate – @jamiemacdonaldmusic

These two paintings — inspired by Alaska’s mountains, bears, seagulls, and mountain goats perched on rocks — remind me of how powerful and personal our God is.

When I paint, I often find myself in prayer — talking to God and telling Him what’s heavy on my heart. And as I worked on these pieces, I kept thinking about how small we are in the grandness of His creation — and yet how deeply He cares for us.

Sometimes we forget how big God is.

We believe He moves other people’s mountains or calms their storms — but not ours.

But He does. And He wants to.

In Exodus, God shook Mount Sinai. Not to frighten His people, but to make His presence known. The mountain trembled because God came near. He showed His holiness. His power. His love.

And the same God who moved in power back then still moves today.

So if you’re facing a mountain… or standing in the middle of a storm… I pray you’ll ask Him to come close. He hears. He moves. He always shows up for His people.

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before You.” – Isaiah 64:1

Prints of original painting, matting not available.
