Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?
He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?” And they were greatly afraid, and said to one another, Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?
Mark 4:40-41
It takes great faith to trust a sleeping Jesus, to know He cares and works for us even when it doesn’t seem like it. This is the kind of trust that God wants to build on us. In a span of a few moments the disciples saw both the humanity of Jesus and the fullness of His deity. All of this shows the abiding care Jesus has for His people. If you feel like your boat is going sinking, don’t worry. Your boat can’t go down, Jesus is on board.
